Horizontal Screw Conveyor

Horizontal Screw Conveyor is a mechanical device used to transport bulk materials. It is mainly composed of spiral blades, conveying pipes, drive devices, feed ports and discharge ports. The equipment drives the spiral blades to rotate in the pipe body through the motor, and the thrust generated by the rotation of the blades continuously transports the materials in the horizontal direction. The spiral blades are generally made of carbon steel or stainless steel, and the structural design is optimized according to the properties of the conveyed materials and process requirements. The drive device is usually composed of a motor, a reducer and a coupling, and is suitable for conveying a variety of granular, powdery and small block materials.

The horizontal screw conveyor is mainly composed of a drive device, intermediate bearing, screw shaft, screw body, screw blade, head, middle, tail, feeding and discharging device, and other components.

1. Drive Device: It consists of an electric motor and a reduction gear. The drive motor is 380V, three-phase, 50Hz, with a protection level of IP55 (outdoor type), an insulation level of F, and a gear reducer with high torque, low noise, and no oil leakage.

2. Head Bearing: Thrust bearing: It bears the axial force generated by the resistance of conveying materials and is placed in front of the material.

3. Intermediate Bearing: Split sliding bearing, used to support the screw shaft.

4. Screw Shaft: There are two types: with shaft and without shaft, and carbon steel or stainless steel can be selected.

High conveying capacity
The conveying capacity of the Horizontal Screw Conveyor is closely related to the screw diameter, pitch and speed. Taking the LS400 model as an example, the screw diameter is 400mm, the pitch is 355mm, the speed is 71r/min, and the conveying capacity reaches 85.3 m³/h when the filling coefficient φ=0.45. The size and rotation speed of the spiral blades are reasonably matched, so that the material can be continuously and evenly advanced to avoid accumulation and blockage.

Simple structure and standardized accessories
This product is designed with a fixed trough body and a standard motor reducer drive, with a compact structure and standardized components. The drive motor is 380V three-phase, frequency 50Hz, with IP55 protection level, ensuring safety for outdoor use. The bearing configuration (front thrust bearing and intermediate sliding bearing) shares the load and ensures transmission stability. The simple design reduces wearing parts and reduces the failure rate, while facilitating disassembly inspection and maintenance.

Sealing performance
The equipment adopts a seamless steel pipe shell, and the joints are connected by flanges, with strong overall rigidity and good sealing. The fully enclosed structure effectively prevents dust leakage, reduces material loss and environmental pollution, and meets the requirements of industrial production for a clean environment. The sealing design also protects the screw shaft and bearings from external dust and moisture erosion, extending the life of the equipment.

Multiple specifications and multiple configurations
The products cover multiple specifications from LS100 to LS1250, with screw diameters ranging from 100mm to 1250mm, and speeds reduced from 140r/min to 20r/min, meeting the diverse needs of small batch short distance to large batch long distance transportation. The LS1250 model has a maximum conveying capacity of up to 520.5 m³/h, which is suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications. Users can choose the appropriate diameter, pitch and speed combination according to the material characteristics and conveying distance, flexibly design the import and export layout, and realize single-point or multi-point feeding and discharging.

Note: Horizontal screw conveyors are available in small, medium, large and extra-large models, which are used for small and short-distance conveying. Single-point feeding, single-point unloading, multi-point feeding and multi-point unloading can be selected according to needs.
